yes, EDSA people power revolt is one of a kind

something that we Filipinos should be proud of

our legacy which inspired other countries worldwide

the peaceful revolt is a source of inspiration

it has given us HOPE when we almost feel like giving up

it is an exemplar of a bloodless movement, a quest for change

to cut a regime that has engulfed our peace and freedom. 

sadly, the very essence of the event is also tainted

we, the generation of today are witnesses 

how some used the noble intentions of EDSA 

to obtain power and government positions

yes, they became our icon of democracy

yet, for some they were opportunities.
